All individuals are unique. But are they? They are definitely born unique – each one different with varied beliefs and skills. They seem unique at first glance; different upbringings, diverse neighborhoods, different attitudes and holding distinctive positions in society.
In fact it is like that only in the very beginning. That’s how we all were. Each one of us was free. Free to be what we wanted to be, to do what we wanted to do and to think and speak what we felt was right.
But then things begin to change. And it all happens so silently. Like the shadow of the night silently creeping over the sun at twilight. It creeps in slowly but with an underlying sense of finality.
It grips you. Ever so slightly in the beginning. Yet firmly. And by the time you realize (if you ever do) it is way too late. It is simply too difficult. So difficult to break those shackles and be free again.
